This project involved the civil and structural engineering design and construction supervision of significant areas of hardstand (approx 60,000m2) and nine new, medium to large buildings (one building in excess of 7,000m2).
Risk and value management meetings, safety in design and design management meetings were undertaken to provide forums for open communication, discussion and coordination. An extensive sustainability, ESD and life cycle analysis was undertaken to select the most suitable building form and construction method.
The Headquarters Building (HQ) was designed to achieve a 4-Star Greenstar energy rating.
The civil and structural engineering component of this project was 100% designed by LCJ Engineers in our Townsville office.
Revit was used for the structural documentation and the project was delivered on time and within budget.
